Antique Silver Snuffbox
Antique snuffbox, silver, tortoiseshell mounted in silver with mother-of-pearl piqué from Greek mythology. The interior is gilded in 14-karat gold and marked with the Dutch lion. This style was also produced for Dutch export between 1814 and 1890. Old Baroque motifs and designs for snuffboxes continued to be crafted with great artistry for a very long time.
