Antique Iserlohner Snuffbox

Antique Iserlohn snuffbox from the pre-embossing period. Germany/ Iserlohn 1725-1750. Brass and copper with fine engravings on all sides on the then popular theme of "love". Meaning: on the lid - "feel my mood / may I be happy" on the bottom - "tear my hem / you must, you may". Few signs of use and few signs of abrasion. Very nice condition.
