Antique Snuffbox
Antique snuffbox, papier-mâché, framed in black and varnished tortoiseshell. Presumably Germany, 1830-40. The lid features an oil painting depicting a girl with two angels at a fountain, framed in a cartouche. There are no chips or damages on the box. Despite the marks left on the varnish by the age of the box, the snuffbox is in good condition and is worth collecting.
