Antique Large Meerschaum Pipe
Antique large meerschaum pipe, Continental Europe, 1800-1850, with a compact, ornamental, almost luxurious silver mount and a solid silver chain, which was replaced based on surviving fragments. Black lacquered stem with original swivel joint. Connecting nut with a turned horn mouthpiece. The small stress crack at the top of the bowl is superficial and does not go all the way through. These are usually caused by heat during smoking due to the material. This large meerschaum pipe is in very good condition.
