Very beautiful, richly engraved snuffbox made of brass and copper in the usual form of Iserlohn snuffboxes, with scenes of Christian coexistence.
Possibly this box was made and engraved in Iserlohn between 1740 and 1755. Another common procedure at the time was that the snuffboxes were manufactured in Iserlohn and delivered to Holland for engraving. Since usually no marking of a master was customary for these doses, both variants of the decoration completion come into consideration. Both variants of the division of labor are historically proven.
