Iserlohn snuffbox, Germany between 1758-1763. One of the few of 16 unsigned Iserlohn snuffboxes on religious topics; this is called "De sending des Heyligen Geest" - the sending of the Holy Spirit. Despite the mutual abrasion caused by intensive use, this snuffbox is in excellent condition. An absolute specialty is that in this box there is an original, presumably associated tobacco pipe made of wood with a horn mouthpiece. This find is very rare in snuffboxes. This pipe has been carefully and expertly restored and preserved. Very nice and wonderful time testimony to a bygone smoking culture.
