Late Baroque snuffbox, Holland between 1760-1790. This snuffbox shows the transition from baroque to classicism through it's lid engraving and engraved bottom. The engravings depict scenes from the Tritones / Triton and Amphitrite, from Greek mythology. Small tear on the edge of the lid, otherwise very good condition
