Antique late baroque meerschaum pipe with a rare, large swinging pipe stem made of movable wooden bowls. There is evidence that this type of pipe appeared together with the pipe tubes from around 1785-90. The pipe head, which is provided with a silver fitting, is designed in the shape of a Turkish head. The lid was broken out and engraved with a tendril motif. The smaller pipe tube is wound with fine silk and mounted on both sides with finely twisted cones made of bone, which in turn have a small twisted beak mouthpiece. The lanyard has been recreated from the old fragments that can no longer be used. Very nice and wonderful condition, probably Germany 1785-1800.
