Meerschaum Pipe

Large luxurious antique meerschaum pipe, continental Europe , between 1800-1830. Meerschaum head with solid silver fittings, the lid is engraved with surrounding floral tendrils. Pipe bowl with fine tension crackling; these are caused by overheated bowls that are placed on cold surfaces. No continuous cracks or chips. Faceted precious wood with decorative bone or ivory rings. The mouthpiece consists of finely turned and polished horn. Original lanyard and swing piece. Very good overall condition. Deko not for sale!
