Magnificent, antique Ulm burl wood pipe. 12-solder silver mount, the clasp of the delicately designed high lid is made as a snake. Original pea chain with a silver coin from 1681 attached to it. This type of coin was almost certainly converted into a button at one time, which was common among wealthy citizens and farmers in the Baroque era. A monogram with a date "AR 1799" is engraved on the lower silver ring. The pipe tube consists of two mounted deer crowns with fine horn finishes on both sides and a rib-bite mouthpiece. Germany/ Ulm between 1790 and 1800. Very good and wonderful overall condition. Deko not for sale!
