Baroque Snuffbox

Baroque brass snuffbox, extensively engraved. Judging by the dimensions and the type of construction, it is probably from the Iserlohn area, Germany between 1740-1750/60. Normal wear and tear on the bottom of the can and old resoldering. These minor repairs only underscore the importance of these snuffboxes in the lives of people in the Baroque era. Despite this small repair is this snuffbox in a very nice condition. Deko not for sale!
