Antique Snuffbox
Antique erotic snuffbox with double bottom, very finely turned burl wood, horn edging on the edges. If the bottom of the lid is unscrewed at the edge ring, an erotic representation is released. The lid of the snuffbox is decorated with a fine gouache painting after the French artist Boilly, the frames are probably made of red gold. France 1800-1840, little used, very nice condition.
