Iserlohn snuffbox by J.A. Keppelman. Stamped brass and copper, Germany 1757-1760. These two box motifs were usually used individually to decorate the lid and more rarely as a combination, as is the case with this snuffbox. What is also special about this box is that the owner at the time had a compartment for a clay pipe installed. This testifies to the practicability of the snuffbox, which it also granted its owner. On the front side of the body you can still find a thinly engraved year indication of "1777". Normal wear and signs of wear. A very nice document of the time in very nice condition. Deko not for sale!
