Large baroque snuffbox
Large baroque snuffbox, brass, Holland between 1730-1770. Engraved on both sides with Christian motifs and ample surrounding floral decoration. Christian engravings on snuffboxes for smoking or snuff were always an integral part of the culture of the time throughout the Baroque era. Normal wear and tear that always occurs with use. Very nice overall condition.
