Baroque Snuffbox
Baroque snuffbox, brass and copper with 6 medallions from the biblical story of the Passion of Jesus engraved on the lid and base. Christian values had a very high status in society in the Baroque era, and this was also emphasized by decorations on snuffboxes. Holland/Germany 1740-1770. Slight normal signs of abrasion through use, nice overall condition.
