Baroque Snuffbox
Baroque snuffbox, Netherlands 1720-1760, with a fine and extensive overall design. The engravings are masterfully executed from Christian mythology based on the copper engravings by "Matthaeus Merian 1593-1650". This snuffbox shows only minimal signs of use and was certainly intended more for display than for use. Wonderful and rare ideal condition.
